Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Roswell, LLC Announces Leadership Changes and New Vision for Growth

Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Roswell, LLC (“HHMR”) is excited to announce several significant developments as the firm transitions into an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation.  Sheri Roswell, one of the firm’s founding members, is stepping out of ownership to serve as “Of Counsel,” continuing her vital work with clients and strengthening relationships that have been the cornerstone of HHMR’s success.  Her tireless contributions since the firm’s inception have helped establish HHMR as a leader in Colorado’s construction law landscape.

“Sheri has been a pillar of HHMR since day one.  Her commitment to our clients and her unwavering dedication to the firm’s success have left an indelible mark.  We are excited for her to continue contributing her expertise and leadership in this new capacity,” said David McLain at the firm’s recent holiday celebration.

At the same time, HHMR is delighted to announce that Lisa Bondy Dunn has become the firm’s first non-founding equity member, and Ricky L. Nolen, Jr. has been promoted to Partner. Lisa, a graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, was recently named the 2024 Barrister’s Best Construction Defects Lawyer for Defendants by Law Week Colorado. She has been an integral part of the firm’s leadership team, overseeing HHMR’s legal production with a commitment to operational excellence that will continue in her new role as an equity member. Her elevation reflects not only her exceptional legal acumen but also her dedication to mentoring young attorneys and fostering a collaborative environment that strengthens the firm’s culture. HHMR looks forward to Lisa’s continued contributions as the firm builds on its reputation as a leader in the construction litigation field.

Ricky, a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, is an exceptional lawyer, securing two recent defense verdicts for the firm’s clients and achieving appellate victories at both the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.  Known for his strategic litigation skills and client-focused advocacy, Ricky exemplifies HHMR’s commitment to achieving the best outcomes at the lowest total cost.

These leadership changes mark the beginning of the next chapter of HHMR, a bold new vision for the firm’s future, designed to last well beyond all of the founding members.  Building on its reputation as a premier construction litigation and risk management firm in Colorado, HHMR will expand its offerings to include a wider array of legal services tailored to meet the diverse needs of Colorado’s construction community.  With this growth comes a renewed focus on cultivating leadership from within, as well as recruiting top legal talent to join the firm in supporting Colorado’s construction industry.

“We are building a firm that is positioned not just to lead, but to grow with and for the construction community.  Lisa and Ricky’s promotions represent the beginning of a new era for HHMR — one that embraces the talents of our current team while welcoming new leaders to join us in shaping the future,” said McLain.

HHMR’s evolution is driven by its core vision: to grow a sustainable law firm that is recognized as the premier legal service provider for Colorado’s construction industry and those that insure it.  As the firm continues to grow, it invites attorneys who share this vision to reach out and explore opportunities to be part of this exciting journey.

If you are passionate about practicing construction law or supporting Colorado’s construction industry at the highest level, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of HHMR.
